Chakras

What is a Chakra?

Chakras are energy centers in your body. They’re places where your physical body, emotions, and awareness all connect. You can’t see them, but they help guide how energy moves through you.

There are seven main chakras running from the base of your spine to the top of your head, each connected to different parts of your body and different life experiences. In simple terms, chakras are the points where your energy, feelings, and awareness come together and influence how you feel and function.

Chakra Systems and Concepts

The chakra system comes from ancient Eastern traditions, primarily Hinduism and Buddhism, where it’s taught that life force energy (Prana or Qi) flows through channels called Nadis, with the chakras serving as focal points along these channels.

Each chakra is believed to:
- Govern specific aspects of the body (e.g., organs, glands, physical functions).
- Regulate emotional and mental states (e.g., fear, joy, creativity, love).
- Influence spiritual growth (e.g., wisdom, connection to the divine, sense of purpose).

When the flow of energy through a chakra is balanced, it supports optimal functioning in all these areas. However, if the energy is blocked or imbalanced, it can lead to physical ailments, emotional distress, or spiritual disconnection.
